Try deleting the GAMEDAT folder under the install path of the Black Gate. If that doesn't work, delete the map00 stuff in the mod directory, it shouldn't be there, but that could be the other cause. I'm such a big fan of U7 BG and SI and couldn't believe, somebody is making such a great Mod! :) Now it's even worse for me, that it won't run. I got all the original Game-Files, the Mod and the right Exult Snapshot, but when I start Exult, I click on "show mods" right under "Ultima VII - the Black Gate & Forge...", then I Click on Feudal Lands, to start your Mod. Now the Game starts normaly, but when I choose "create new Game", there are graphic-bugs like many squares and stuff right after the red intro lava-thing. To the right is the shore/beach and everything with the sound works fine. I can even change the options and save the game, but nothing else happens. what is the problem?
