Discussion board added

Since it seems that I am fated for an insomnia-ridden night tonight, I went ahead and looked into forum/discussion thread ideas to implement for the website.

I didn’t have to look far, it would seem! The same people who develop WordPress have this wonderful web application called bbPress that integrates fairly seamlessly into Wordpress. I’ll have to fix some of the eccentricites in the forums, and give it a theme, but by the by it’s the best thing to implement, if a bit bare-bones. And you don’t even have to make a new user login or anything!

Some of the aforementioned eccentricities to be aware of:

• Logging in on one will currently log you out of the other. This has to do with cookie sharing abnormalities I have to work out.
• The post count on the forum should also include comments on the site proper. It currently doesn’t.
• Local avatars are currently not reflected on the forum.

Feel free to drop by the forums to discuss the project … and as a final note, now that we have the forums, please give general comments there, and keep threaded discussions there. Thanks!
